California Stories from Thámien to Santa Clara is the museum’s permanent history exhibition that traces aspects of Ohlone heritage, Mission period history, Californio lifestyles, and early Santa Clara College events, to offer insight into the changes across Santa Clara Valley and the roots of Santa Clara University.

Space Race

The Space Race exhibit, at the Cosmosphere in Hutchinson Kansas, houses one of the largest collections of U.S. and Soviet cold war era space artifacts anywhere in the world. In this 16,000 sq. ft. exhibit visitors can come face to face with history starting from the end of the second world war to the launch of the space shuttle.

This new kid’s space located at the Cosmosphere in Hutchinson; Kansas features exhibits dedicated to exploring the principles of flight. The space features open-ended activities including a space for kids to design and launch their own rockets.

The Learning Lab at Guide Dogs for the Blind’s new Puppy Center allows a window into how their team breeds, socializes, raises and trains guide dogs. The Lab features a viewing gallery into the puppy socialization area and a “real life” room where puppies get to experience a home-like environment.

Outdoor Obstacle Trainers

These obstacle trainers were design to help handlers train guide dogs to recognize obstacles for humans and teach them to execute intelligent disobedience to prevent their humans from getting injured.

The Rosicrucian Egyptian Museum in San Jose displays the largest collection of Egyptian artifacts on exhibit in the western United States. To expand their story West Office was enlisted to design a permanent exhibit on the ancient art of Alchemy which has its roots in Egypt.

“Hana” is often translated into English as “flower,” providing the inspiration for the name of this senior living center located on the site of a former Japanese American flower shop.  West Office worked closely with developers, architects, the Japanese American Citizens League, and the El Cerrito Historical Society to develop interpretive elements that are woven through the site.
